Palliative Care
The end of life journey is not just about dying, it’s about living well, right to the end. Caring for people at the end of life means enabling them to live out their final days as they wish, surrounded by those they love. We know the end-of-life journey is an incredibly personal one, but that doesn’t mean it must be done alone, the Langley Hospice Society is here to help, and ensure access to care and support for individuals, their families and friends – when they need it most.

HOSPICE PALLIATIVE CARE
Active compassionate care offered to improve quality of life for individuals with life-limiting illness where cure is no longer deemed to be possible. Professional and volunteer support is offered to individuals and their families at home, in the Langley Hospice Residence, in hospital or care facilities.

LANGLEY HOSPICE RESIDENCE
The residence is a home-like 10-bed facility where individuals receive specialized care from medical staff aimed at relieving the symptoms associated with a life-limiting illness rather than offering a cure. Offers twenty-four hour compassionate care for the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of the patient, while supporting family members and/or friends.

NEW 15-BED HOSPICE RESIDENCE
In March of 2017 the B.C. Government announced that they will provide a five million dollar grant toward the capital costs of for a new 15-bed hospice residence for our community. With the funds in place to build the new hospice residence, the Langley Hospice Society still needs your support to help us raise the additional $2,000,000.00 necessary to furnish, outfit, and begin operations for the new residence, and truly make our new house – a home for end of life patients and their families.
