Aliesha Schwarz, saw first hand the supportive care and support provided through the Langley Hospice Residence while supporting her best friend of more than 10 years spent her final weeks in the Hospice residence after a long battle with cancer. The day that Heidi died, Aliesha says, was the hardest day of her life, but it meant so much to her, knowing that Heidi was as comfortable and happy as possible during those final days and weeks because of the care and support received from the hospice staff and volunteers.Aliesha Schwarz, Best Friend, Caregiver
“Having access to the Langley Hospice Society for grief support after Meilin’s passing has been important for our family to get through this in any kind of functional manner. LHS staff have provided our daughters with one-to-one and group support weekly, as well as access to activity-based grief support camp programs and more.``Malcolm Sask, Caregiver, Husband, Father
``Ever since I lost my Grandad and my Nana, I felt like there were weights on my shoulders, but now I feel the weights lifting off.``Camper, Langley Hospice Society Teen Grief Support Camp
“We are thankful for the experience we had at Langley Hospice and the care they provided for our father-in-law. The nurses were amazing and so knowledgeable, I could not have asked for more. Never have I met such caring and understanding people. Thank you just doesn’t seem to be enough to say our experience here will not be forgotten. God Bless.”Family of Hospice Patient
